Step 1: The Compliance Workshop

The first step of the PCI-SIG Compliance Program is the Compliance Workshop, which facilitates regular face-to-face interaction between companies using PCI interconnect technology. The workshops provide sessions for each add-in card vendor and system vendor to run tests on their products to ensure interoperability. In addition, the PCI-SIG provides testing sessions to confirm a given product's compliance with the latest version of the PCI specification. In both the Interoperability and Compliance sponsored testing sessions, a "pass" or "fail" is issued for each test performed. To pass the Compliance Workshop, the product must score a minimum of 80 percent for interoperability testing, and pass the required Compliance tests.
