Press Release
PCI-SIG Offers Free Attendee Registration for July 2009 Developers ConferenceOffer in Response to Challenging Economic Climate“We recognize that the current economic situation is impacting travel and event budgets in a way that could make it more difficult for our members to attend the Developers Conference,” said PCI-SIG chairman and president Al Yanes. “We want to help facilitate our membership’s attendance at this significant event to learn about the very latest in PCI technologies and to network with their colleagues and clients.” Topics to be covered at this year’s event include PCI-SIG specifications such as I/O Virtualization and the latest drafts of PCIe 3.0, which doubles the bandwidth of PCIe 2.0 and provides optimizations for enhanced signaling and data integrity. Additionally, presenters will discuss industry best practices regarding subjects relating to PCI technologies like power management, verification and compliance. The free registration offer applies only to the July 2009 event in Santa Clara and does not affect future PCI-SIG events. This year’s annual U.S. Developers Conference will take place at the Santa Clara Convention Center. The PCI-SIG Developers Conference is limited to members of PCI-SIG. More information about the event, attendee registration and how to become a member can be found at: www.pcisig.com Benefits of PCI-SIG MembershipPCI-SIG members can participate in the review of all PCI specifications before they are released to the industry. If you are interested in becoming a member, please visit the PCI-SIG Web site at www.pcisig.com/membership. PCI-SIG members develop and maintain PCI Express specifications and are actively involved in defining compliance criteria and other technical enabling collateral. As an additional and extremely valuable benefit of PCI-SIG membership, members are given the right to receive patent licenses from any other member of our organization with necessary claims of patent embodied within our specifications. These licenses may be limited in scope to an implementation of a particular specification, but must be granted to all members on reasonable and non-discriminatory terms. About PCI-SIG
