Al Yanes
Chairman & President

Al Yanes

Al Yanes has served as president of the PCI-SIG® since 2003 and chairman since 2006 and is a Distinguished Engineer for IBM in the Systems & Technology Division. He has 26 years of experience working with ASIC design in the I/O industry. Yanes holds 25 patents for PCI™ and other I/O technologies.

Yanes is a PCI Express® technology expert for the IBM Rochester office and he is involved in I/O design for IBM's Server products. Yanes holds a B.S. in computer engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

 

Ramin Neshati
Serial Communications Workgroup Chair

Ramin Neshati is a member of the PCI-SIG Board of Directors and the Treasurer of PCI-SIG. He chairs the Serial Communications Workgroup, which is responsible for coordinating industry enabling efforts for the adoption of PCI Express architecture. Additionally, Ramin acts as the PCI-SIG liaison with peer industry organizations. As the PCI Express (PCIe) engineering manager at Intel, Ramin oversees the definition of PCI Express specifications, including PCIe 1.x, 2.0 and 3.0.

Ramin holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science, the M.B.A. with concentration on Corporate Strategy, and is studying for the Ph.D. in Engineering and Technology Management. Ramin is a veteran of the computer industry and currently works at Intel Corporation as the manager of I/O technology architecture and compliance.
