PCI-SIG Announces PCI-SIG Developers Conference 2005 in San Jose
Conference will provide technical training for PCI Express 2.0 and companion specification

PCI-SIG, the Special Interest Group responsible for PCI Express™ technology, will host the 2005 PCI-SIG Developers Conference on June 6 and 7 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, Calif. The Developers Conference will provide attendees the first technical training sessions for PCI Express (PCIe™) 2.0, as well as technical sessions addressing PCIe ExpressModule™, PCI Express 1.1 and other PCIe specifications still in development.
The conference will feature sessions targeting both the architecture necessary for successful design and the technical enabling to facilitate compliant and interoperable product development by PCI-SIG members. As in prior years, the conference will provide extensive tutorials on the core PCIe architecture as well as a comprehensive survey of the various PCIe form factors.
Member-driven implementations will be featured as a new part of the conference agenda. These sessions will describe specific implementations and may help other member companies integrate PCIe technologies seamlessly into their products. Some topics include:
- Implementing PCIe in various I/O designs
- Common pitfalls in PCIe design and verification
- Performance analysis of PCIe designs
