I have a couple of questions about the PCI card edge connector that don't
appear to be answered in the PCI Local Bus Specification, Rev. 2.1:
1. Is there a specified plating composition and thickness for the
tabs on the card edge? On page 180, table 5-1 gives the contact
finish requirements for the motherboard connector. I can't find
an equivalent specification for the tabs on the card edge.
If there is no specification for card edge tab plating, what is
generally used by manufacturers of high-quality products?
2. Is a radius specified for the end of the keyway, or is it assumed
to be the same as the half-width of the slot (0.0365" +/- 0.001")?
Thanx!
Steve Rice
