RE: PCI-DMA

Does anyone have a pointer to more details on Intel's alternative to D-DMA called PC/PCI? It's incorporated in their latest mobile PCI chipset (430MX PCIset).

One place to look, of course, is the the 430MX PCIset documentation:http://www.intel.com/design/pcisets/prodbref/430mx.htm

However, it's not a very good PC/PCI tutorial. Also, doesn anyone have leads on a PC/PCI vs. D-DMA comparison?

Nalan,

The November 23, 1995 issue of EDN contained an excellent explanation
of Distributed DMA. The article is available on EDN's web sight at
www.ednmag.com. Good luck with your project!
