To PCI folks who know about VGA and PCI (especially BIOS people),
I'd like to understand more about how to "best" deal with PCI
Config Space for a graphics adapter that will have two headers: one for VGA
capability for console and "other graphics controller" capability for 3D.
Does it matter which order the 2 64-byte type 0 Config Space Headers are
placed? (I hope not!) Are there any anomalies that might prevent a system
BIOS from seeing and correctly dealing with VGA on this kind of card?
Another question: Would it be acceptable (i.e. would it work) to have a Config
Space Header where the Memory and I/O Space Enable bits are zero and read
only? It seems legal, but would a BIOS bypass a PCI VGA device and look for
another VGA card in a system that has such a Config Space header?
