Hi,
I'm a newcomer to this list, though not to PCI.
I'm seeking information on any work done to enable "hot swap" or "live
insertion" of boards on PCI.
I'm aware of the Digital 2115x bridge chips which contain several features
to enable live insertion for their parts. It's been rumored that work is
being done by the PCI SIG and also by the CompactPCI group. I'd be
grateful for any information from anyone who has actually built and tested
a "Hot Swap" PCI system or from anyone doing work to standardize a Hot Swap
solution for PCI.
Regards,
/steve
