Component height on the PCI cards themselves is specified tightly so
that it should never be a problem between PCI and/or ISA cards...
Sadly though, many motherboards have CPU's with heatsink and fans
positioned such that longer PCI cards are restricted and only fit on one slot.
A few MB's are so bad that a longer PCI card won't fit in ANY slots.
This is one reason Intel chose to redesign the PC AT form factor
motherboard into the new ATX form factor.
