Hi
Compact PCI uses a shielded pin-and-socket connector which allows up to 8
cards per bus. PCI-PCI bridges can be used as normal to add more devices.

On a side note, if there is anyone out there (considering) using Compact
PCI in a telecomms environment, I'd love to hear from you.
