As an update to this, I discovered that my placing 0xFF ("unknown" or
"no connection") in the interrupt line register and 0x01 (may use PCI
INTA#) in the interrupt pin register will cause a conflict with the 3Com
NIC. Setting the interrupt line register to 0x00 (board uses no
interrupts) temporarily solves the problem. I say temporary, because I
still need to figure out how to get a non-conflicting interrupt assigned
to the board. I also still have the Win 3.1 lockup problem, so I'm far
from being out of the woods.
If anybody has any ideas, I would be most grateful for assistance. Even
if you could just point me in the direction of a pertinent FAQ, document
or book title. All the literature I have is in regard to designing PCI
cards, not making them work in a DOS/Windows 3.1/Windows NT 4.0
environment.
