Sorry but I can not find the answer from the FAQ
What is the general status of Hot Swap capability of PCI and Compact PCI?
>From the CompactPCI spec, it defines a few pins for hop_swap. However,
are there BUFFERs available which support hot_swap?
One of the engineers here said that Hot_swap for PCI is more of a software
issue since the OS has to be reconfigurated during Hot_swap. But to me, he's
talking about Plug&Play in stead of Hot_swap. Am I right?
Any help or pointers will be appreciated. I'll post a collection of
answers after a week if necessary.
Thanks.
