Hello,
I need a high bandwidth to transfert data from my PCI card to host memory.
I want to know what is the maximum bandwidth for long burst (ex: 1024 DW)
i can reach with a commercial PC motherboard (Pentium Pro / Pentium) with
standard PCI chipset (Intel 440FX / 430VX).
What are elements on motherboard that can influence this maximum bandwidth ?
- memory (SDRAM Vs EDO)
- PCI Chipset (Intel 440FX Vs 430VX Vs 450GX/KX Vs another chipset)
- motherboard itself
- ...
Thanks,
Eric Boisvert
