We have a PCI board using the AMCC S5933 interface chip. We requested to use port I/O for the Operation Registers (region 0). This works fine in all i86 platforms until we tested it on the Pentium II machines with Intel AL440LX motherboard. With these machines, we have to switch to make all resourse memory-mapped. This dosen't change anything but we'd like to know if anyone has come across this situation and may shed some light on this.
