Hello:
I have a question about the PCI power management spec.
In the Power management spec. about the SCR registers.
The PME_EN and PME_STATUS bit,
It said:
Sticky bit, indeterminate at time of initial operating system
boot
if function supports PME# rfrom D3 cold
My question is that:
1). what does the operating system means? BIOS or OS?
2). who is response to initial or clear the PME_EN and
PME_STATus? BIOS or OS?
3). If the system is boot because of one PCI card and that card
supports PCI PM,
but at this time, I know that not all BIOS supports PCI PM.
that means the PC chipset will always have a wakeup event
but don't know who assent that, and this will make the
system can not boot.
Can the PCI card clear the PME_STATUS bit when the power is
back?
Thanks.
