CORE Embedded Module Family - An Easy and Cost-Effective Way to Design PCI
and Ethernet Embedded Systems


HAIFA, Israel - Nov. 1, 1998 - CompuLab today announced three members of
its new CORE Module Family targeted at dramatically reducing the costs of
and man-months needed for design & debugging of PCI- and Ethernet-related
applications - while providing the enhanced feature sets required in
today’s embedded systems. 

CORE Module Family
CompuLab's CORE Module Family represents a series of miniature,
high-performance single board computers designed to serve as building
blocks in embedded applications. The modules have been extremely optimized
in terms of cost, performance and level of integration. Special effort has
been made to allow easy mechanical connection of the module to the target
card.  The CORE Modules contain an Intel i960 (R) 32-bit RISC processor,
DRAM, FLASH, a wide selection of serial and parallel interfaces and
optional PCI and 10/100 Mbps Ethernet. The card size is only 86 x 131 mm.
The family of compatible cards covers a comprehensive range of price,
performance and features. CORE modules have all the components needed to
run an operating system - independent of the surrounding environment. They
can be supplied with MON960 or WindRiver's VxWorks (R) RTOS.

The CORE Module Product Line includes:
960CORE - Basic CORE configuration 
ETHRCORE - CORE with Ethernet port 
PCICORE - CORE with PCI interface 
PXECORE - CORE with Dual PCI and Fast Ethernet 
TINYCORE - CORE for tiny-sized products or  very low cost products
