We are investigating a PC-Core for use in an industrial
control unit. we need very high data rates for reading
data out of the memory. The PC part of the controller will
consist of a Pentium CPU, an INTEL 440 BX chipset and
lots of SDRAM.
The read date are long burst (5 MByte and more) which can
*not* be done with the standard PCI runing 33MHz/32 Bit.
Any comment to the following questions is helpful:
- peak data rate on the 66MHz/32Bit PCI which is part of the AGP.
- sustained data rate over a long period on this PCI.
- sustained data rate on the AGP with the help of AGP2x features.
Thanks in advance
