Somebody's playing the specsmanship game. While it could be argued that the
PLX 9054 can be used in a 2.2 compliant universal signaling design, it is
certainly a more difficult argument to win. I also point out that PLX and
other vendors should have been aware of this possible issue since it has
come up in discussion in this list several times over the past ~three years
or so.
