I have several questions on compact
PCI:
- Is it possible to plug two 3U
boards in the same slot of a 6U chassis ?
- What are the conditions to fulfill
to be able to make data transfers in burst mode ? Inside the same rack, and
outside ? Do all off the shelves boards support burst mode ?
- With additional chassis, what is
the loss in performance when transfering data from one chassis to another
one ?
- How many chassis can be linked
together ?
- Is there SCSI controllers that
enable DMA data transfer from hard disk to peripheral boards ? What are the
performances ?
- Do you have some showcases of high
performance application based on compact PCI, with data transfer from hard
disk to peripheral board, with part list ? Typically, we need to garanty an
average of 50 Mbytes/s.
