About the Master termination when the Target is waiting

  My  name  is  Makoto  Takebe  from  KOMATSU  Ltd.  in  Japan.   I am currently
  responsible for the development of our PCI I/F Card.   The reason I am writing
  to  you  is  because  I have a few opinions in the case of the title.And  I am
  hoping  you  to  judge  and correct my opinions.  Your assistance will be much
  appreciated.
  Here are my opinions:

  About the Master termination when the Target is waiting

  1    By  PCI  convention, if the Master terminate when the Target is waiting,
  the data phase is defined as data transfer error.
  2  Target must always detect the Master termination even though during waiting
  period.
  3  Target must terminate the transaction even though during waiting period.
  4  After data transfer error transaction, PCI system also must operates as
  usual. (PCI system must not hung up after data transfer error transaction)
  5   I  think  even  though  the Master terminate read cycle when the Target is
  waiting,if   later   the Master operate the read cycle, finally the data which
  could not transfered before is transfered correctlly at this time .

  I think it would happen when the case as above.
