Re: pci compliant devices?

I don't really think this "PCI compliant" means much. One has to understand
the timings in order to do a successfull design anyway and the PLD
manufacturers know it; so they seem to have started stating "PCI compliance"
just for marketing purposes. In much the same way some of them forget
to mention that you are not allowed to know the fusemap of their
devices - until you ask. Just happened to me with Xilinx, they keep
the fusemap data about their devices secret; a pity they bought
the Coolrunner from Philips - and lucky me I got the key data I needed
before they did that, so I can work out what I am not told within
2-3 days.
