RE: card vendors
We manufacture a PCI card for socket5/7 x86 systems that provides ram and a Celeron processor, the AcceleraPCI. We are working on flipchip support now.

Subject: Re: card vendors
If you are talking about a standard PCI bus card, I don't think you will
find a board with a processor on it. The PCIMG defines a passive backplane
that supports processors on the plug in board. But this backplane has two
connectors, one for ISA in the normal position, and one for PCI pushed
further back along the card from the normal position.
So I don't think anyone makes an embedded CPU board for the standard PCI
form factor with a passive backplane. The standard PCI bus boards all use a
processor on the mother board.
