3.3V power rail / M66EN
Hi folks,
Is there anyone, who want to share his/her experiences concerning
motherboard features and their behaviour in the real world?
1) Does really every motherboard have a 3.3V power supply connected to
the PCI connectors?
I understand section 4.3.4 of the spec that every motherboard must
provide 3.3V to the connectors.
However, I stumbled recently over a weird Celeron motherboard not
providing a 3.3V rail on the PCI connectors. So, is the 3.3V thing an
issue to consider or is this motherboard the atypical exception
2) Any realy world experiences regarding the reliability of M66EN?
I ask, because I have another (non-PC) motherboard, where the 66 MHz bus
can be forced to operate at 33 MHz by means of a jumper, *without*
negating M66EN, which in turn screws my card ...
