	I am no expert on PCs but I had searched for this before.I got a
document on this from the Intel website which gives the address mapping. I
am not able to locate it right now. but let me tell you how I went abt it. 
I had a dell PC. so I got the info abt my PC motherboard from Dell website
& then went to Intel website & searched for that motherboard
documentation. It gives all the details you want abt the PC architecture,
address mapping etc. 
   I hope I can find the info soon for you. I am not sure whether the
address mapping is dependent on the motherboard controller.
