    Uhhm, thanks. Someone handed me the $6.32 price. I just went
looking myself, and think I got a slipped decimal point. $63
seems much more like it. Mercifully, the board I'm doing has a _big_
_expensive_ FPGA on it so this doesn't change costs much. It is
still cheaper to use the i960VH for PCI control, DMA, and decent
performance RISC, than to throw those fixed functions into the
FPGA I'm using.

   Like others on the list though, I've still got my eyes open
for cheap PCI microcontrollers. Bummer that the Agilent website
comes back with "Sorry, this product is no longer available
in the product catalog" for the part that someone else suggested.

  You'd think that someone would have a simple PCI uC solution
under $10 ... you can get graphics chips for PCI, with far more
silicon than a simple uC would need, for less. Why not an i960VH
like device?
