PCI chip help.

We are developing a box where enclosure services needs to be provided.
The status
of Fans, powesupply, and other components needs to be monitored from the
host system
through PCI.  Ideally IPMI/I2C could have been used but due to some
other issues we cannot
use them.  Are there any PCI slave devices  which support simple general
purpose I/O pins
to read and write through which the above information can be acessed
from the CPU thru' PCI.
