RE: Information on Ethernet PHY's



I would have thought that hardware upstream from the PHY selects which
physical layer.  I know the DEC 21143 is a part that's in a lot of different
implementations and was designed to be flexible for different physical
layers, but it's not actually a PHY device (except that it does have 10BaseT
