Re:PCI/Gigabit Ethernet chipsets

Which chipsets have you looked at so far(both Macs and PHY's)?  I am also in the
process of evaluating chipsets for a Gigabit product and would be interested to
know which ones you are looking at.

 Anyone out there work with or have worked with any PCI-Gigabit Ethernet 
Chipsets? I need to implement a solution, but am shocked at the prices of 
the chipsets I've found. (Which explains why the darn 10/100/1000bT NIC 
cards are so outrageously high...) Our product cannot tolerate the prices 
on the devices we have found so far.  Any one know who knows the least 
expensive sol'n?
