8240 rev. 1.0 errata

Hi all,
I hope there is someone around who has some experience with the MPC8240
rev. 1.0 - these are the samples I got. They have a lot of listed errata,
one of them named "FPU Disabled internally". They suggest a JTAG sequence
to enable the FPU; which is not really usable in a system detached
from the development system. Yet from the description I have a suspicion
that FPU does not mean "Floating Point Unit" after all; it might refer
to a section in the RAM controller (fast page mode something).
If someone happens to know more about this and/or about other
surprises with this rev. 1.0 chip (which I'll replace as soon as
I can, I just have no time to wait for a newer now) I would
appreciate any input.
