experience with OR3TP12 -- motherboard compatibility

We have designed the Lucent OR3TP12 into an evaluation board.

We were hoping to put it into 64/66 3.3v slots. We are looking for
experiences both positive and negative with this chip. Maybe we did something
wrong on our board, or maybe we just haven't picked our motherboards very
well.

It worked okay in a 64/33 slot on a Micron (SAMURAI) motherboard.
(No longer made).
It also worked in plan 32/33 (5V signaled) slots on an ASUS motherboard.

The Micron motherboard did not power on when we put it into a 66Mhz slot.
We initially thought that that was a 3.3V signaling issue -- some error or
zero-ohm resister that we forgot to remove.

In a SuperMicro7 motherboard, it doesn't work in any slot. It is simply
not present (no configuration space seen by bios) when put into a 64/66
slot.
In a 32/33 slot, (which is 3.3V signaled) it shows up in configuration
space, but any access to the device results in the PCI bug hanging. I.e. no
response from our device. (I am less clear about the exact nature of this
config)

Is there anyone that has been using this part? Which motherboards? What
support chips on that motherboard? Anything special you have to do?
