Dear all,

 

I'm a final year student at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and I'm currently working on a project which needs to design a PCI add-in card. This add-in card is a Target only device which interfaces to a 8-bit device. I'm trying to search for information on the programming aspects of a PCI device development.

 

The queries that I've are:

 

1)    How does a PCI bus master set the control signals such as C/BE#[3:0] to specify the type of commands and the byte-lane valid info?

 

2)    How does a device driver works with the Host/PCI Bridge to generate PCI Bus Cycles?

 

3)    Where can i get information on PCI BIOS functions?
