SIG "approved" and OpenCores RE: New to forum!
I am not sure that you're allowed to say "PCI-SIG tested and
approved" in product literature. I know that when it first started, the SIG
made a strong point that the PCI SIG Integrators' List and results were not
to be used in printed marketing material. However, you could verbally tell
a potential customer that your product had been through the compliance
testing and was put on the Integrators' List. Is this still the case, SIG
guys?
Regarding new PCI bridge cores, if you incorporate all the handy
features for supporting CompactPCI hotswap, and host&peripheral mode
support, I think you'll get a lot of interest. I recommend you join the
CompactPCI email reflector as well. See http://www.picmg.org/
