Hey,

This is more a plug than anything but I work at Celoxica and we produce a
tool that you should look into.  I work with it and its bloody quick to
code up things like this.  www.celoxica.com for more info.

A good example is my EPP interface which I did in a couple of evenings,
say about 4 hours in total maybe.  And all in fairly readable C too!

PS: I know this is off topic but interesting as I know that someone used
it to implement a PCI bus i/f at some company somewhere.
