RE: MASTER GNT# not being issued in response to REQ#

Hi Daniel,

did you check if RST# is deasserted ?
As long as RST# is asserted, your REQ# is ignored by the arbiter.

Subject: MASTER GNT# not being issued in response to REQ#

Hello,

What requirements are there before GNT# will be issued in response to a REQ#
? (other than an idle bus)

Do any of the requesting boards configuration registers need to be in a
specific state, as there are several registers related to MASTERs.

Do all wintel mother board work with MASTERs ?

Does the PCI BIOS require anything ?

Does the OS require anything ? (drivers ??)

I just want to do the minimum neccessary to receive a GNT#. I have done none
of the above and it worked fine on another older wintel mother board however
I am not reciving a GNT# on a Aopen AX33 motherboard.

Sincerely
