Although Infiniband was conceived as a PCI replacement, it has evolved into
a SAN.  It will *not* replace PCI.  It *may* replace FibreChannel.

Intel and PCI-SIG are already talking about 3GIO as a PCI replacement, and
that is a much more believable story.  Of course, PCI and 3GIO will co-exist
for many years, just like ISA co-existed with PCI for many years.

Above statements probably don't apply to the iMac. ;-)
