RE: about Intel's FW21154-BE
One of my jobs here at Intel is to support the 21154. I have not heard of
discussion by any people reporting errors concerning REQ64# now or several
months ago.
Errata for all bridges are reported in:
http://developer.intel.com/design/bridge/specupdt/
If you have pointers to the discussions you refer to I will be glad to see
that it gets attention. Now that you have run out of the BC part have you
tried the BE? If you don't have one to try contact your local Intel rep or
distributor. You shouldn't need to spin your PC board to make that change.
An app note that explains the differences are in:
http://developer.intel.com/design/bridge/applnots/278395.htm
If you have problems, contact your local Intel person or your distributor.

Subject: about Intel's FW21154-BE
Hello everybody,
I'd like to ask you for some references about the transparent bridge
Intel FW21154-BE.
I remind it was subject of discussion some months ago, with several
people reporting errors (one of them, i.e., concerning the REQ64# line).
And a replacement was also suggested, the HINT's pin-compatible (HB2).
My point is that I've run out of the "good" old BC revision, and I
should purchase new ones. (Of course, out of question to change the pcb...).
Does anybody try with the HB2? Have someone reported more errors with
Intel's?
Thanks in advance for your time and help.
Best regards,
Angel
