RE: about Intel's FW21154-BE

Hmmm... got this message twice?

I have not seen a date for releasing a new datasheet. That will come from
the Bridge business unit. I can ask. You do have the right numbers for the
latest published documents.

I didn't want to stir up anything here and this forum is not a place to do
customer support or drum up business. Just thought I could help with a few
pointers. Support should come through an Intel rep or distributor. Contact
me off line, i.e. not via the PCI SIG, if you are having a problem making
that contact.

Are you releasing a new datasheet soon? The current one on
developer.intel.com shows the following date and doc number:

	Order Number: 278108-002 July 1999

And the diff doc's I got from Arrow/Wyle and my Intel rep (Third Wave in
the DC metro area) is:

Order Number: 278395-002 dated June 2001.

I have a design I'm currently working on that has 8 21154's on it.

As to contacting the disty, they laid off all of Arrow's Intel FAE's
since all they are allowed to register is the bridges and MAC/PHY's. I
was lucky in that Third Wave picked him up to support Intel.

Intel pulled all the support for IXP's and other semi's from the
distributors. And Arrow is no small player...

Sad, since the design wins usually come form the disty network...
