MIN_GNT and MAX_LAT

Dear PCI experts,

according to PCI specification (revision 2.2 - 6.2.4) for 128 data phases
burst, assuming a throughput of 60 MB/s, theoretically MIN_GRANT could be
set to 0x10 and MAX_LAT to 0x08.
In x86 systems along with NT OS, for large data transfer ( when a board
would like to access the bus frequently) and long bursts I often see these
registers set to 0xFF and 0x01. Which strategy do you suggest for a good PCI
master implementation? When the clock rate is 66MHz how to choose proper
values?
