Re: PC bios recognizing PCI card

What FPGA are you using and who did the PCI IP core if you used a PCI IP
core?
What chipset (host PCI bridge) do you got for the motherboard that works
with this card, and the one that doesn't? (Not all northbridges have the PCI
nowadays. In newer chipsets, PCI is in the southbridge.)
I have heard of a rumor that in some VIA chipsets, if configuration
registers are not implemented at all or not being implemented correctly, the
BIOS sense that and will turn off the clock supply to the PCI card,
disabling the PCI card.
I won't buy a VIA chipset-based motherboard if I were shoppin around for a
PC motherboard . . .

the mailing list.)
