Re: pci testing

** Proprietary **

Hello Mam

WE have tested our PCI core with internal memory as well as external memory ,i think this ur requirement like u have to read/write the internal memory which u have to test, i can suggest and recommend u that u can go for some GUI driver tools like from Wind Driver Systems (Jungo)Exclusively for PCI ,USB & other cards.u have to download this software from net(www.jungo.com)
and u can check the read/write operation. this is one mehtod we to have tested whether our core is able to write/read

Further clarfications ,please free to ask

  I am using a pci-to-pci bridge(PCI2050)from TI on my board.This is the
first time i am dealing with oci testing.

Now my question is,how do i access(read/write) or configure the internal
registers of PCI2050.I have kept the JTAG pins of PCI2050 unconnected.
Also that there is no serial eeprom access for 2050,like how the PLX
devices(pci9054 for ex.)have.

Do i have to use some tool like PLXMON ? I do not have much idea on
this. Can anybody suggest me on this as soon as possible.

I will be very thankful.
