Re: PCI Card causing PC to Hang



Have you used a logic analyzer to see what is going on the PCI bus?
If the card you are talking about is freezing up the computer, that probably 
means that the card is claiming the transaction by asserting DEVSEL#, but is 
not asserting TRDY# to end the transfer.
Since this card freezes up your computer during before booting an operating 
system, possibly a burst Configuration cycle might be occurring.
You shouldn't assume that a burst Configuration cycle will never occur 
because I heard some Intel chipsets do initiate a burst Configuration cycle, 
and to interrupt (Nothing to do with INTx#.) a burst Configuration cycle, 
you should assert STOP# at the same time TRDY# gets asserted.
