U can read/write the registers in GUI or C .the thing is u have to use a software tool called Jungo (www.junog.com) u can get the evaluated copy of this tool .it has two distinct features
1.we can work in GUI mode i,e., u can select the Read/Write combo box and see the functionality of all PCI cards in the system
2.It will generate the Automatic code and it will be invoked through Micorsoft visual and i will work for the minimum fucntion.
We too have our PCI core tested in this software and we have readymade readymade driver software made accoring to our requriements.
