This is with reference to PCI2.3 standard release. This standard contains new updated
capabilities list id starting from 0x07h to 0x0ch.

In here, 0x07h id is dedicated for PCI-X functionality. I have following question for the
same ?

Now does that mean that if 0x07h is there than silicon device needs to support PCI-X
functionality ?  if so then PCI2.3 compatible device can work as PCI-X device also ?

That means if all ids are there in capability list, than silicon has to support all
functions ?

I would appreciate your response on this.
