Re: PCI PCB physical characteristics

Hi,

give a look at
http://www.amcc.com/pdfs/PCB.pdf
or at
http://www.physics.ohio-state.edu/~herman/schematics/b741x.pdf

you can find good pci PCB design layout guidelines.

There are no physical specs about PCB material or dimensions, but these characteristics do affect the impedance of PCI signal traces (for PCI Physical Requirements refer to section 4.4.3 - page 152 for revision 2.3 or page 151 for revision 2.2) .

Subject: PCI PCB physical characteristics

Exists some specification about the physical characteristics of a PCI PCB?
If it is not thus, which would be the material, surface finish and copper weight on to outer layers more recommendable?
Thanks
