Fwd: signals PME# ENUM#
Hi Steve,
The PME# signal is indeed specified by PCI r2.2. It is Power Management Event Interrupt and is connected to the same pin on the PCI connector (A19).
The ENUM# signal is Enumeration Interrupt and is used in Compact PCI Hot-Swap systems (C25), doesn't exist in PCI systems. This is covered by the PICMG 2.1 CompactPCI Hot Swap specification: <http://www.picmg.com/>http://www.picmg.com.
You may also consult the PLX9054 Data Book or contact the PLX Europe FAE (located at UK) at: <mailto:euro-apps@plxtech.com>mailto:euro-apps@plxtech.com.
BTW, if you are upgrading from PLX9060 why not upgrading to the newer PLX9056, price similar to the PLX9054.
Best regards,
Vashek

Subject: signals PME# ENUM#
I'm upgrading a PCB to use a PLX9054 instead of an PLX9060.
The newer device has two additional PCI signals :-
PME# and ENUM#
I have the 2.1 spec and these signals are not mentioned.
I assume they are part of 2.2 spec.
Do I have to connect them from the chip to the PCI connector ?
If so, which pins do they connect to ?
Are the PCB tracks for these signals restricted in length ?
Steve
