Suppose the above-mentioned 'INT call' reports the slot to be slot # 1, how
would you know if it is left most slot or the right-most slot on the
motherboard? Some bioses define Slot 1 as the left-most one while others do
it other way around... and therein lies the problem. You need to know the
motherboard's numbering scheme to precisely know the physical location of
the card.
