clk detection..

hi experts,

what are the minimum requirements that the BIOS looks
for inorder to allow a PCI CLK signal to be given to a
PCI slot? is it that at a minimum, only a device id
and vendor id need be seen during config. reads for
the same? or are there any other signals, etc.. that
ought to be seen?
