PCI Hot-Plug 1.1
The PCI Hot-Plug 1.1 Specification defines the requirements for adapter cards, system platforms, and system software to enable the insertion and removal of PCI adapter cards without turning off the platform or rebooting the operating system. The specification is a supplement to the Conventional PCI Specification, and is applicable to those cards, platforms, and operating systems that need higher availability.
