PCI Standard Hot-Plug Controller and Subsystem Specification 1.0 (2MB PDF): This change restricts PCI Standard Hot-Plug (SHPC) device drivers to a memory access granularity of maximum one DWORD (aligned) when reading or writing to the SHPC in memory space.
